Ideal for straining out larger solids before filtering tank or bore water, this was only used for a short while in a pump test bed of a water purification set. Nylon strainer can be used to remove finer particles such as sand and scale.

Tap is used to periodically flush out the screen but is should also be dismantled in time to wash out greasy residue that sticks firmly to the mesh.
